Youre curious at how many calories and exercise burns or. Which exercise is most most effective at losing weight stay tuned because in this video. Im going to just that im going to test various exercises and determine how many calories each one burns to do this ill be using my fitbit.
Which tracks my heartrate and determines. How many calories are burned for each exercise. I will perform it for 10 minutes and determine how many calories were burnt before testing.
A new exercise. Ill rest and let my heart rate return to normal and then ill proceed with the next exercise. So lets get to it first.
I wanted to establish a 10 minute resting baseline. While sitting and doing absolutely nothing for 10 minutes. I burned 16 calories.
The first exercise i tested was jumping jacks after 10 minutes of doing jumping jacks. I got my heart rate up to 137. And i burnt a total of 115 calories the next exercise i tested was jumping rope.
Which is touted as one of the best cardio exercises after 10 minutes of skipping the rope. I got my heart rate up to 149 and i burnt a total of 148 calories now for my least favorite exercise. Running 10 minutes of running my heart rate got up to 180 beats per minute and i burnt 173 calories now for my favorite exercise walking 10 minutes of walking my heart rate got up to 110 beats per minute and i burnt 96 calories stairs was the next exercise i tested ten minutes of stairs got my heart rate up to 152 and i burnt 161 calories.
Finally the last cardio exercise. I tested was burpees after 10 long agonizing minutes of burpees my heart rate got up to 142 and i was able to burn 137 calories for fun i included 100 pushups over the course of 10 minutes. This only.
Burns 69 calories. And i also included 100 bodyweight squats over the course of 10 minutes. And this burnt 82 calories.
So from best to worst exercises for burning calories. Number one was running with 173 calories. In 10 minutes.
With stares. At 161 calories. In 10 minutes.
Three was jumping. Rope. At 148 calories.
In 10 minutes. Four. Was burpees.
At 137 calories. In 10 minutes. Five was jumping jacks at 115 calories.
In 10 minutes six was walking with 96 calories. In 10 minutes. Seven was 100 squats in 10 minutes.
At 82 calories. And eight was 100 pushups in 10 minutes. At 69 calories.
